Chase and Nanaw stuck around the house on Monday because the weather was unbearably hot. First thing in the morning, Nanaw was going to water the plants and bushes and rinse off her car. Chase said he wanted to help so Nanaw gave the hose to him. He did a really good job with the watering, except that somehow he got completely soaked, even his socks. When he was rinsing the car, he called out, "I need a sponge. Somebody get me a sponge." So Nanaw did, laughing all the way. Nanaw e-mailed photos of Chase working to Uncle Mike (and Mama, too, of course), telling Uncle Mike that Chase was a worker man like him and Robbie. Chae also picked cherry tomatoes and cucumbers and put them in a bucket -- he thought that was great. Chase and Nanaw played in his room with the mega blocks, building towers and knocking them down. They also played with the trains and toys downstairs. Uncle Doug sent Nanaw an e-mail asking if Chase had a tricycle at her house and saying he had one Chase could have so Nanaw is waiting to find out when he wants to bring it over.
