It was really cold outside on Friday when Nanaw took Chase to school. They ran into the school laughing and complaining about the cold and the wind. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he had lots of things to bring home -- presents and crafts. He forgot one of the things -- a gift bag with the presents for Mama, Daddy and Nanaw -- Ms. Whitworth reminded Chase about it when he was out in the hall with Nanaw, so they went back into the schoolroom to find the gift bag. Nanaw made the serious mistake of putting all the gift bags and presents in the back seat with Chase. On the way to the post office, Chase proceeded to start opening things. Fortunately, Nanaw was able to stop him before he opened the presents he had made for Mama, Daddy and Nanaw. Nanaw has learned her lesson. In the afternoon, Chase and Nanaw played in chase's tent, then Mama came to pick Chase up rather than having Nanaw bring him home because freezing rain was making the roads icy and slick. Chase, Mama and Daddy went over to Aunt Becca's and Uncle Stan's house for dinner on Friday night.
