Saturday's icy weather and freezing rain caused the cancellation of Aunt Becky's 50th surprise birthday party. Mama was very disappointed because the day's plans also included lunch and tour of the brewery. Uncle Mike had to go in to work early Saturday morning because it was graduation day at UMSL. Mama, Chase and Nanaw had some adventures together on Saturday -- they went to Walmart and then they went home to bake cookies. At Walmart, Nanaw bought Chase a loopy race track. Nanaw and Chase went to Nanaw's house to play with the race track for awhile before going back to Chase's house to bake cookies. At Chase's house, Mama made oatmeal / peanut butter no-bake cookies -- yum, yum. Then she made cutter cookies, and Chase and Nanaw helped her decorate them with white and blue icing and red and blue sprinkles -- lots of fun.
