When Mama brought Chase over to Nanaw's house on Monday morning, Chase was very excited to see Nanaw's Christmas decorations, especially Nanaw's huge Christmas tree. Uncle Mike and Aunt Becky did a wonderful job on the tree. Chase also enjoyed seeing all of his familiar decorations, especially the musical ones from Hallmark. At school, Nanaw gave the teacher the gift bag and the toilet paper rolls and paper towel rolls the children were supposed to bring. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, he was holding a piece of Rollo candy and was very happy about it. He managed to unwrap it by himself and had great fun eating it. On the way home from school, Chase and Nanaw went to the big Dollar Tree on Telegraph Road to buy slime /goo and frogs in a pond for Nanaw's house. Chase also found nutcrackers so they bought a blue one. They may go back on Tuesday to get more nutcrackers. When Nanaw took Chase home, Mama had him sit at the kitchen table and make a birthday card for one of his teachers, Mrs. Kish, whose birthday is Friday. Chase enjoyed putting on birthday and Thomas stickers, plus a couple of snowmen. Nanaw enjoyed watching him write his name and make the card.
