Mama took the day off from work so that she and Nanaw could go Christmas shopping. First, they took Chase to school. When he got to his classroom, he sat down at one of the tables and started to play CandyLand. A little girl sat down at the table with him and said, "I want to play CandyLand too." (Mama and Nanaw wanted to know who the little girl was but Chase couldn't tell them. Later, at dinner, Nanaw showed Chase a picture of the little girl and asked him who she was. He said it was Brooke.) Mama and Nanaw had a fun, productive day Christmas shopping. When they picked Chase up from school, they went to Handyman Hardware to see the Christmas lights display. In the evening, Mama, Daddy, Chase and Nanaw went to Merz on Main for dinner. Chase got an ice cream from Mr. Merz and was so cute about it. On the way home, Daddy drove around Columbia so Chase could see lots of Christmas lights.
