In addition to playing in his tent, chase had two adventures on Thursday. Chase's first adventure was going to Story Time with Miss Candy at the Columbia Library. As usual, Miss Candy did a wonderful job of singing songs, reading stories and doing crafts with the boys and girls. Thursday craft was making a seahorse with a mane and an eye -- or eyeball as Chase calls it. He currently has a fascination with eyeballs. Miss Candy gave the children Christmas candy and jingling Christmas necklaces -- Chase got two -- a Rudolph and a snowman, and Nanaw also got a snowman. After Story Time, Chase and Nanaw went to the Train House. Before going to the Creation Station, Chase and Nanaw spent a long while looking at the train displays. Nanaw's friend Carol from the Telegraph Road library was there with her grandson Calvin, who likes trains as much as Chase does. Miss Linda was happy to see Chase and Nanaw. She helped Chase make a horse bag craft, full of cotton balls -- very cute. Chase, Nanaw and Miss Linda also sang Christmas songs with some of the other boys and girls. Nanaw was happy that Chase got to stay with her longer than usual because Mama and Daddy went to a happy hour to celebrate Marshay's 30-year anniversary with the company Mama works for.
