Surprise! Surprise! Chase's school was closed Friday because of the weather -- and so were hundreds of others in St. Louis Metro area. Even UMSL was closed. The weather forecast called for light snow, turning into freezing rain and sleet so the schools closed but nothing happened during the day In late afternoon, it started to rain, and E's back deck was icy but that was it. We'll see what happens overnight. Mama, Chase and Nanaw went on a shopping adventure in the morning. First they went to Walmart, then the bank and gas station and then to the library so Mama could refill her book supply. Next, they went to Party City, then Tuesday Morning, then to Marshall's. At Party City, Chase got a BB8 noise-making toy and some chocolate candy. Mama found a big dog pillow for Sam at Tuesday morning. At Marshall's, Mama bought Chase a Forky craft kit that Chase and Nanaw are going to work on next week. Later in the day, Mama sent Nanaw a picture of Sam lying on the big pillow. When the shopping adventure was over, Mama dropped Chase and Nanaw off at Nanaw's house so Chase could spend the afternoon with Nanaw. (Daddy was working at home because of the weather LOL so it was better that Chase wasn't there asking Daddy to play hockey with him.) Nanaw fixed toasted ravioli and mixed vegetables for Chase's lunch, and he watched Chase TV while he ate. Chase had a great time playing on the laptop for awhile in the afternoon.
