Chase had a major adventure today: a visit to Suson Park – more about that later. First thing today, Chase and Nanaw went for an early morning walk in Nanaw’s subdivision. Then they went to Clayton Laptime. The substitute teacher was there instead of Miss Jeannie so there weren’t as many songs and rhymes. Chase seemed to have a great time playing with one of the balls and then with three markers he found on the whiteboard. After Laptime, Chase and Nanaw went to explore Suson Park, which is located off Tesson Ferry Road. When Mama and Uncle Mike were little, they used to go there and really liked looking at the animals. And so did Chase. He saw sheep and goats, horses, cows, and a baby calf named Annie who was only 17 days old. He saw ducks and said quack quack when he saw them. He seemed to have a really great time and cried when it was time to get in the car and leave. He fell asleep right away and slept in the stroller during a brief visit to the Telegraph Road to pick up books that Nanaw had on request. For dinner, Chase, Mama and Daddy had KFC and Chase got a "chicken bucket" that Mama was very excited about.
