On Saturday evening, Nanaw came over to Chase’s house to baby-sit with him while Mama and Daddy went out with Aunt Becca. Uncle Stan had to work but he got off early and joined them about 9 p.m. Chase and Nanaw went to the McDonald’s in Columbia for dinner. Chase had a Chicken McNugget Happy Meal and Nanaw had a Chicken McNugget dinner. Chase finished all his French fries quickly so Nanaw shared hers with him. For dessert, they had yogurt parfaits. Chase spent a lot of time watching the groups of boys who were hanging around McDonald’. He kept turning this way and then that way in the high chair to get a better look at what the boys were doing. In the evening, Chase and Nanaw watched Monsters, Inc. on the Disney channel, as suggested by Mama. Chase sat in his high chair in front of the television to watch the movie – Nanaw calls it stadium seating. He sat there completely content and intently watching the move for an hour and a half. Nanaw couldn’t bear to put Chase to bed so she let him stay up until 10 p.m.
