It was a sad day today with one of Chase’s kitties, McKinley Malone, going to heaven. McKinley was a stray who was injured in an auto accident and rescued by Mama about 10 years ago. McKinley only had one eye because of the accident but she was sweet and precious, and one of her favorite things to do was taking a shower each morning with Mama. Sam spent time today looking around the house, as if trying to find his buddy McKinley. Below are a few pictures of McKinley Malone. Chase’s first adventure today was running through the sprinkler in his back yard – Mama said he really seemed to enjoy it and laughed a lot. Nanaw came over for a delicious barbecued chicken wings dinner. For dessert, there was yummy homemade chocolate ice cream courtesy of Mama and Daddy and the ice cream maker Mama received at her bridal shower. In the evening, after having a great time with Daddy giving him his bath, Chase played in his room in his camouflage robe, and then Mama read a bedtime story to him.
