Chase and Nanaw tried to go for an early morning walk but it started to rain so they had to run back to the car. Chase had several small adventures today at Nanaw’s house. First, the Merry Okee and the Scout phonics DVD arrived from Amazon. Chase seemed to be delighted to have a Merry Okee at Nanaw’s house, and he proceeded to make an awful lot of noise with it. Another adventure was looking at Starfall.com, the website that Aunt Becky (Mama’s work friend) suggested. Chase seemed to like the animal alphabet. After Chase’s nap, Nanaw and Chase went downstairs to the "schoolroom" that Nanaw created for Chase. First, he went around looking at things, then he watched the Scout DVD. He climbed up on a chair in front of the TV/DVD player that Nanaw moved into the room and watched intently. When the DVD was over, he went back to the table and began to play with the blocks and the magnetic letters and the foam letters. He sat in the chair and looked at one of his new books, then began carrying things around the room – it was very cute.
