Chase is 21 months old today! Such a big boy! Mama and Daddy both went to work early this morning because they’re leaving work early to go to a wedding. So Chase and Nanaw’s early morning walk was even earlier than usual. After breakfast, Chase and Nanaw went to Clayton Laptime. Once again, Chase paid attention during story and song time so he didn’t need to be distracted with toys and books from his Elmo backpack. Chase had his usual good social time, going from person to person and babbling to people. At the end of Laptime, Chase wanted the bubbles from the shelf, and when Nanaw told him the bubbles were night-night, Chase burst into tears and then had one of his rigid shoulder meltdowns. Nanaw asked him to get in his stroller, and he took Nanaw’s hand and walked to his stroller, sobbing all the while. Everybody was very sweet to him and said good-bye. After his nap, Chase and Nanaw had school. Today’s activity was going through the Sesame Street small words flashcards – very cute. Chase and Nanaw went back to Chase’s house at 4 so Mama and Daddy could see Chase before they left for the wedding. Chase and Nanaw went back to Nanaw’s house for meatloaf, Nanaw’s meal of the week, a new thing where once a week Nanaw cooks a meal for Chase and Nanaw. After dinner, it was back to Chase’s house again for play time and then bed time.
