Chase wore his navy workout outfit today and looked totally snazzy for his early morning walk with Nanaw. The morning’s adventure was Babygarten at the Columbia Library. When Chase and Nanaw opened the elevator door to go down to Babygarten, a little boy was there, crying and scared. Miss Annette had run up the stairs to get him, and everyone rode back down together. Chase was amazingly attentive and well-behaved during the song and story part of Babygarten, and Nanaw didn’t have to get any toys or books out of Chase’s Elmo backpack to entertain him. In the afternoon, Nanaw took Chase’s table and chair to the spare room downstairs to make a "school room" for Chase. She also took down crayons, coloring books, alphabet flash cards, magnetic alphabet letters, wooden alphabet blocks and foam alphabet letters. On Wednesday, Chase will have his first day of school. After Chase came home, Mama and Nanaw went on a shopping adventure to Pier 1. Chase couldn’t come along to Pier 1 because the aisles are so narrow there, and he would pull things off the shelves. Mama and Nanaw also went to Dollar Tree and Walmart. Mama had to buy a gift card for Aunty Ann at Pier 1; she also bought a duck flashlight for Chase. At Dollar Tree, Nanaw bought Cookie Monster flash cards and a book for Chase. At Walmart, Nanaw bought a magnetic dry erase board for the magnetic alphabet letters and a Minion sticker book. Mama bought flowers for Aunty Ann from Chase, and Nanaw took a photo of Chase with the flowers that Mama printed out for Aunty Ann.
