The weather was cooler today, and Chase spent time playing outside, which still seems to be his favorite thing to do. Nanaw came over for Daddy’s delicious barbecued ribs and corn on the cob. After dinner, Mama, Chase, Sam and Nanaw went for a walk in Chase’s neighborhood – Daddy stayed home to rest. After the walk, it was time for the surprise dessert Nanaw brought: ice cream drumsticks and Ho-Ho’s. Later, as Chase was running around the house, he did a very smart thing: he picked up the cat place mat Mama had put in the spare bedroom yesterday for Mufasa’s food and water during the party and brought the place mat back to the kitchen and put it on the floor where it belonged – a really surprising thing.
