Chase and Nanaw had a collection of eclectic adventures today. First, they went to Waterloo Walmart so Chase could ride on the new rides there. He refused to ride on the generic animal ride but was delighted to ride on the Mickey Mouse car. Their next stop was Handy Man Hardware on Telegraph Road. Handy Man has an excellent artificial Christmas tree and assorted outdoor Christmas decorations on display in a dedicated room. They had R2D2, Yoda, Darth Vader, Snoopy, Woodstock, a snowman, Santa, reindeer, and lots of beautiful trees. Chase kept looking for a baby Jesus and was disappointed when he couldn't find one. Their final adventure was at the new library on Gravois -- Grant's View. It's a beautiful library with huge windows surrounding the building. Chase especially liked the stools in the children's area and the tilting chairs in the teen area. Our Cliff Cave library is closing at the end of January so Grant's View will be our regular library until September. Yesterday and today Chase was his delightful self, so different from his recent grumpiness. Nanaw hopes that the pleasant, fun, enjoyable Chase stays around for a long time. On Wednesday night, Mama and Daddy were going to take Chase driving around to look at Christmas lights.
