Mama and Chase were pleased to show off Chase's new pencil box to Nanaw. Somehow, Chase lost his pencil box awhile ago and didn't tell anybody. Nanaw discovered that fact last Thursday during the volunteer groups when she asked Chase why he didn't bring his pencil box to group, like the other boys and girls did. That's when he told her he lost his pencil box a long time ago. Over the weekend, Mama went shopping and bought a pencil box, pencils, glue stick, scissors and markers. Nanaw had bought some erasers that you put on the end of pencils at Dollar Tree, and she gave some to Chase for his pencil box. When Nanaw left school this morning, she looked in the lost and found and saw a blue pencil box there that might have been Chase's. She'll show it to him tomorrow and see what he thinks. At home, Chase played with his new books from the book order; there was a Narwhal and a Jelly Jolt stuffed animals that he played with for a long time. Chase wanted to write a book with Nanaw so he stapled a stack of paper together. Then Chase and Nanaw each wrote stories and drew pictures. It was lots of fun. Chase said he and Nanaw were authors and illustrators -- he's quite the kid. Chase and Nanaw went downstairs; Nanaw walked on the treadmill, and Chase played with the toys down there. In the evening, Chase had his last skating lesson of this series. He didn't do quite as well on his final report as we'd expected.
