Chase had the day off from school, and Nanaw had plans for them. She thought they'd go to the Magic House first thing. Fortunately, she checked the hours online and discovered they didn't open to the general public until noon so that's when they went. Nanaw spent the morning cleaning up for the cleaning lady -- silly Nanaw. Chase fell asleep on the way over to the Magic House and was quite the grumpy grouch when he woke up. He told Nanaw he didn't want to go into the Magic House but she didn't pay any attention. Unfortunately, the Magic House was very crowded, which is one of Chase's least favorite things. He complained the whole time they visited. There were several new displays/exhibits including a science lab, a Splash and Bubbles display and a China display. Chase wasn't interested in any of them. Hopefully, at his next visit, he will be. Then a miracle happen. Chase and Nanaw went into the crafts area, and Nanaw started making something with cardboard and empty toilet paper rolls. And Chase engaged. He made a pair of binoculars with two empty toilet paper rolls. They had a great time with tape and scissors and glue sticks. So the day was salvaged after all.
