The boys and girls in Chase's class were very excited when Nanaw saw them Wednesday morning. Tomorrow is the first day of their spring break; they're off school Thursday, Friday and Monday. Nanaw has lots of plans for what she and Chase will do. They'll go to the Magic House, Powder Valley, the kids room at the Florissant Library and the Science Center on Monday. After school, Chase forgot his water bottle, and they had to go back and get it. Some of the other kids had forgotten their water bottles also. Mrs. Neff came back to the classroom and was surprised to see that so many kids had returned; she said they liked school so much they couldn't leave. And then she laughed. At Nanaw's house, Chase and Nanaw went downstairs. Chase played with toys there, and Nanaw walked on the treadmill. Then they went outside to play. Nanaw brought the big sports net out from the garage, and they played baseball. But Nanaw didn't get to bat so she gets to bat first tomorrow. Nanaw thought she saw buds on her grape vines (which she'd thought were dead); she took a picture and sent it to Uncle Mike for his opinion. Uncle Mike answered back, "Maybe."
