Chase and Mama were both excited about the Spa Day the first graders were planning for their mamas on Friday afternoon. Mama took two hours of community service to attend. She brought along red fingernail polish for her hands and clear polish for Chase to put on her toenails. Mama said Chase did a really good job and that they had a great time. The had pretzels for a treat, dipped in vanilla cream or chocolate. Mama also got coupons from Chase for breakfast in bed and massages. However, Mama said Chase coughed most of the time. He's been coughing nonstop for a day or so. Mama brought him over to Nanaw's house after the spa adventure. Nanaw had set up a Treasure Trail with his stuffed "amamals" leading to a school paper that Chase was to work on and then get a special treat, like a popsicle, Thomas treats and mint chocolate chip ice cream. He had fun doing it and didn't realize Nanaw had tricked him into doing school work. After the Treasure Trail, Chase and Nanaw went downstairs and played school. Mama and Daddy went out to dinner at Top Shooters -- Mama was craving wings. So Nanaw got to keep Chase till about 7 o'clock -- which made her very happy. When Mama and Daddy came to pick Chase up, they told Chase and Nanaw about their plan for October 2020 for their tenth wedding anniversary. They're planning a major trip to Las Vegas. And best of all, Chase gets to spend three nights with Nanaw -- for which he said, "Yay!"
