When Nanaw took Chase to school, several of the girls in his class told Nanaw they saw her and Chase at the baseball game last night. The girls were on the other team, and they claimed that they won the baseball game. Nanaw is not sure about that. One of the other girls in the class gave Nanaw a little tin containing Thinking Putty for Chase. She said he could keep it and not have to give it back. Nanaw told Mama about it, and Mama says it's to keep you from getting distracted when you're doing math. We'll see how that works. Chase got a certificate of achievement for being a runner up in the young authors' program, for participating as an angel in the Christmas play and for playing soccer. He missed one of the words (pointy) on last week's spelling test so he got a G+ instead of his usual O. On the way home from school, Chase and Nanaw stopped at Chase's house to let the dogs out, and Nanaw took a picture of them. There are tornado and windstorm and thunderstorm warnings for tonight, and it rained during the night so Chase's baseball game has been cancelled, as has the Cardinals game. Mama is going out to dinner with Aunt Becca but she promises to hurry home so she's not caught in the storms.
