Chase had baseball practice on Sunday afternoon, and he said it was good. Nanaw went over to Chase's house around five p.m. because Mama invited Nanaw for dinner. The first thing Chase said to Nanaw when she got there was that they couldn't play baseball on his bed with the guys because Mama had just made Chase's bed. Chase and Nanaw went into his room to examine his bed, and it looked excellent. Daddy grilled chicken wings, and Mama fixed delicious corn on the cob. Chase liked the corn so much he wanted more. Mama said there wasn't any more so Daddy gave Chase the rest of his. Good Daddy! After dinner, Mama and Nanaw had Chase review his spelling words and review the state capitals for the week. Then, Chase, Mama and Nanaw played table top baseball. It didn't go too well because Mama was not happy with Chase's interpretations of the rules. They played several innings but finally stopped. Chase and Nanaw went downstairs to play balloon baseball and had lots of fun. Chase is going to all-day (9:30 to 3:30) STEM camp in Waterloo this summer -- June 16 through June 20. He's also going to a half day Cardinals baseball camp on July 20. Nanaw will miss him when he goes to both camps.
