Mama had asked Chase what they should get Nanaw for Mother's Day, and he said something purple. So they bought her a beautiful soft purple blanket, purple coasters, a purple candle, a pink candle, a purple cat flag and a Taco Bell gift card. Nanaw had Mother's Day dinner for the family, including Mama, Daddy, Chase, Uncle Mike, Aunt Becky, Joe, Michaela, Robbie, Lindsey, Natalie, and Nichole. Nichole asked Mama to officiate at her wedding in July, so Mama is going to go online to get ordained so she can perform the ceremony. Mama has the day off tomorrow, and she's coming over in the morning to Nanaw's house for them to research online ordination. Aunt Becky made the hamburgers, and Uncle Mike grilled them, along with chicken and hot dogs. For dessert, Mama made a strawberry poke cake and chocolate pudding pie (Chase's favorite!) Uncle Mike and Aunt Becky planted Nanaw's flowers, their traditional Mother's Day present for her. Earlier in the week, they planted her tomatoes and cucumbers. Nanaw gave her unused cat tree to Joe and Michaela. Joe sent Nanaw a picture of three of his four cats climbing on the cat tree. We had a wonderful time, a very good Mother's Day.
