Daddy picked Chase up from school because Nanaw didn't get her car back till 3 p.m. Mama took her to Dobbs. When Daddy picked Chase up, he asked him if he had his study materials for tomorrow's reading test, and Chase said he did. But he didn't. Mama was very unhappy about that. She told Nanaw that Chase couldn't have any devices. At Nanaw's house, Chase and Nanaw did his homework. He did his 20 minutes of AR reading and finished his state information page. Nanaw found some study questions online for the reading test tomorrow about Matilda by Roald Dahl but she's not sure if they're going to be helpful to Chase. He blew up his first balloon and was very proud of himself. Nanaw took him home at 5 because he has baseball practice. Nanaw loves Chase very much and is sad when he gets in trouble for forgetting his homework. Mama and Daddy decided they wanted to go to Rockbridge this summer, so Daddy made reservations for August 4 through August 6.Chase doesn't know yet; Nanaw thinks he'll be very excited. The third picture below is of the peonies at the side of the house. Pawpaw planted them, and Nanaw always forgets they're there. The fourth picture is of the three cats on the bed. Nanaw was so happy to get her first picture of the three cats together.
