Unfortunately, Chase and Nanaw’s great Friday adventure didn’t turn out so well. After breakfast and an early morning walk, Chase and Nanaw went to the water park at Sylvan Springs. Chase had a great time for the first five minutes, then a large group of older children from a daycare center came to the water park. They were running around among the younger children and not paying attention to what they were doing and no one was supervising them. One boy knocked Chase down, and Nanaw went to make sure he was all right. Then another boy knocked Chase down again, and he hit his head. Nanaw picked him up and took him to the car. While Nanaw was changing him out of his swim suit, a lady with her grandson came to talk to Nanaw. She said she was a former nurse and that Nanaw should keep an eye on Chase and not let him go to sleep for a couple of hours. Chase turned out to be fine but Nanaw was angry at the carelessness of the boys and the lack of supervision from the daycare center. Chase cried because he had to leave the water park but was eventually okay – he gets over things quickly and that’s a good thing. Chase and Nanaw played downstairs with the trains until it was time for Chase’s nap. When Chase went home, he got to play in his little wading pool in the back yard and seemed to have a wonderful time.
