Nanaw came to visit Chase Saturday morning, to play with him and take pictures. First, they played with his toys in the living room, then Chase colored at the kitchen table, and Nanaw drew lots of smiley faces for him. Chase invented his first new game of the day: Tee-Tee in the pocket. He’d go to Daddy or Mama or Nanaw and have them stuff Tee-Tee in the pocket of his shorts and then he ran around the house saying "Tee-Tee pocket." Next, Chase and Nanaw went into Chase’s room where Chase invented another new game for himself that he called "Pile." The game "Pile" consisted of Chase jumping on the two huge stuffed animals in the corner of his room – Jingle the Hallmark dog and a great big no-name bear that Mama’s friend Patty gave Chase when he was a baby. Mama came into Chase’s room to play with Chase and Nanaw and suggested that Chase pile more animals in the corner. So Nanaw gave him the huge bunny and then Chase got all of the stuffed animals out of his crib and piled them in the corner and jumped on them. After Nanaw left, Aunt Kristen and Uncle Chappie came to visit and to go to the sidewalk sale in Columbia with Mama. Daddy and Chase stayed home until lunchtime and then went to Aunt Maggie’s, a restaurant in Columbia, with Mama, Aunt Kristen and Uncle Chappie. Mama said Chase didn’t eat much even though the fried chicken was delicious (that’s one of Chase’s favorite words that Daddy taught him.
