Chase had another major adventure today: He went to the St. Louis Zoo with his best friend Jackson, Jackson’s mama Aunt Jen, Mama, and Nanaw. Their first stop was one of the classrooms for a Romp and Stomp class. There were stuffed animals that were puppets and a tunnel to crawl through. One of the zoo trainers showed the children several animals and let them pet the animals. They saw a frog, a snake, a chinchilla, a big bug, and a dove. Chase and Jackson seemed to really like seeing and petting the animals. They also had a craft time, and Chase colored a caterpillar. At the end of the class, both boys received certificates of completion. At the zoo, they saw orangutans, the chimpanzees, elephants, a tiger, bears, painted dogs and fish. They had pretzels, funnel cake, lemonade and soda for snacks. As they were leaving the zoo, they went into the gift shop and Jackson got a painted dog, and Chase got a "Good Night, Missouri" book from Mama and a big Thomas cup from Nanaw. All in all, it was a great day at the zoo for everyone.
