Chase had a major exciting adventure today: Nanaw took him to Sylvan Springs Park, which has an area of fountains that children can play in. Chase and Nanaw got to the park at 9:30, a half hour before the water fountains started. Chase played on the slides, swings and pretend motorcycles until it was time for the water. Chase was so excited to run through the water and run around with the other children. When the fountains started, there were about five children. When Nanaw and Chase left an hour later, there were about 25 children running around. Of course, Chase didn’t want to leave, and he cried. Eventually, he stopped crying when Nanaw gave him some peanuts. For lunch, Chase had popcorn chicken and ranch dip, one of his favorite meals, along with peas, applesauce, and milk. After his nap, Chase and Nanaw played with his trains while he watched the Mickey Jr. channel. Nanaw read him the two Spot books Mama packed for him, and then he watched the video on Nanaw’s iPhone from the water park this morning. He also watched the video from Saturday of him riding on the Alvin train/trolley at the Waterloo Walmart. After dinner, for dessert, Mama gave Chase a banana in chocolate syrup, and she says he really seemed to like this special treat.
