Chase and Nanaw had a new adventure today. After breakfast and their early morning walk, they went to the Barnes and Noble store at Gravois Bluffs for story time. Chase did really well for the first story and for the craft activity of making a bookmark using a glue stick. However, he didn’t want to give the glue stick back. He started to cry and Nanaw couldn’t get him to stop. So they left the story time area and went over to the Thomas the Train table, which made Chase very happy. He played with the trains for awhile, along with two other little boys. Of course, when it was time to leave, he didn’t want to go. Nanaw took him up to the checkout area so she could buy a new, huge Thomas the Train coloring book for him. He didn’t want to let go of it for the cashier to ring it up and was very happy when the lady gave it back to him right away. Fortunately, when he fusses like that, it only lasts a minute or two and then he’s on to other things. One of these days, he’ll grow out of fussing when he has to stop what he’s doing.
