Mama had the day off from work again on Wednesday so she took Chase to school. After Nanaw's dentist appointment, Mama and Nanaw went shopping at Gravois Bluffs to find a comforter for Mama and Daddy's new king-sized bed. Mama couldn't find anything the right color at Gravois Bluffs or Bed, Bath and Beyond so Nanaw suggested that they go to Macy's at South County Mall. And Mama found what she wanted there. They had lunch at Lion's Choice, and then went back to Chase's house. Nanaw looked up the New Orleans trip on Mama's computer, which was very exciting. Chase was happy to see both Mama and Nanaw coming to pick him up from school. Chase was also excited to get his new present from Mama: a big stuffed Max from Secret Life of Pets. Mama brought Chase over to Nanaw's house at 8:30 for Chase to spend the night. Mama and Daddy are going to leave for New Orleans with their friends at 5 a.m. Thursday morning. Nanaw fixed "little baby chippies" (cornflakes in the Elmo snack container) and popcorn for Chase, much to his delight. He watched Monsters, Inc. for a little while before falling asleep -- before 10 p.m. -- a record for Nanaw who's always keeping him up later.
