When Nanaw took Chase to school on Monday morning, it was cute to see how happy and smiley he was to go to school and see his friends -- big grins. Nanaw went shopping at Walmart while Chase was at school and bought a cute little baby doll for Emma's birthday party on Sunday. Nanaw saw Emmy at school waiting for her brother with her Grandma and Nanaw got to hold her and take a picture of her. When Nanaw picked him up from school, he had his jacket on, zipped up, with the hood on his head, despite the fact that it was really hot outside. And he refused to take it off until he got to the car. On the way home, Chase tested Nanaw on the sight words by sounding them out and having Nanaw identify what he was sounding out -- it was really funny. When they got home, Chase played in his room for awhile, then they did art in the kitchen. Chase and Nanaw cut apples out of paper, then they cut worms and pasted them on the apples. Evidently, that's what Chase did in school on Monday. Next, Chase and Nanaw went downstairs to the school room to play school. Chase said he was the flag holder at school today and he wanted to be flag holder at pretend school so he did, while he and Nanaw said the pledge of allegiance. When Nanaw took Chase home, he pretended that Nanaw's car was the school bus, and he told Nanaw not to get out -- but she did.
