When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, they couldn't call Mama with a pick-up call because Verizon was having an outage that affected a lot of customers, including Mama. She couldn't make or receive phone calls. So they sent her a text, reporting that Chase had a good day, that his hot dog at lunch was good, and that at lunch recess he played sharks and minnows with his crew, and he was a minnow. At Nanaw's house, Chase worked on his Spanish homework. It was a full-page article in Spanish, with questions on the back that he had to answer in Spanish. Nanaw asked Chase if he was able to read the whole page of Spanish, and he said yes. Nanaw was very surprised and impressed. After he finished his Spanish homework, he started studying his new geography packet for the test tomorrow. The teacher had graded the study packet and Chase got a 96, a 97, and a 101 with two Woot! Woot! from the teacher. Nanaw told him he should study it again tonight. Nanaw didn't quite understand that he had three seemingly different study packets for the geography test but Chase seemed okay with the whole thing. Nanaw is going to tell Mama how lucky they are that Chase is so responsible for his homework and studying for tests. H always seems to know what he's supposed to be doing by when. He hasn't had to go back into school to get study materials for a long time. Nanaw stayed for dinner at Chase's house. Mama made stir fry at Chase's request so they could have Nanaw taste it. Nanaw thought it was really good, and she liked it a lot. So did everybody else. Later in the evening, Mama reported to Nanaw that Daddy had studied geography with Chase and that Chase knows the geography. Nanaw says Yay!
