Chase had major adventure today: He went to the zoo with his best friend Jackson, Jackson’s mom Jen, Mama and Nanaw. They had an exciting time and saw chimps, giraffes, penguins, puffins, elephants, tigers, zebras, antelopes, and lots and lots more. They went to the children’s zoo and petted the goats and played in the playhouse. Nanaw’s favorite thing (in addition to the funnel cake) was riding on the zoo train. They rode around the whole zoo and saw the elephants on the way. At the gift shop, Mama bought Chase a stuffed owl, and they named him Bill after the baby owl in the "Owl Babies" book that Chase loves so much, After the zoo, Mama, Chase and Nanaw had McDonald’s for lunch. Then when Chase woke up from his nap, they went to Rural King in Waterloo and had free popcorn and looked at the bunnies. Mama bought Chase a turn the cube puzzle. Waterloo Walmart was their next stop, and Mama bought Chase a blow-up swimming pool and a pump to blow it up with. Daddy was playing golf, and Mama fixed BL (no T) sandwiches for dinner, then Sam, Mama and Chase went for a walk, and then Chase took a bath.
