Today was a very exciting day for Chase and a sad one for Nanaw -- it was Chase's first real day at pre-school. Chase had a wonderful time, and Nanaw missed him so much. When Nanaw took him to the classroom, he started playing with the toys and the other boys and girls right away. One of the little girls and one of the little boys were crying but Chase was unperturbed. When Nanaw came to pick Chase up, all the boys and girls came out with Ms. Merz and Mrs. Kisch except for Chase. Nanaw asked about Chase and Mrs. Kisch went back inside to find him. He'd gotten mixed up with the first graders but all was well. When Chase and Nanaw were leaving, Chase started to cry a little and Nanaw asked why. He said he wanted to stay at school. So this is a good thing. Chase and Nanaw had lunch at McDonald's and then they went to the playground at the big park. When Chase got there, he said, "Yay, there's people." Then he said, "I'll make some friends." He's very social. He had a grand time playing with several boys and girls -- very cute. When Nanaw took Chase home, she went for a walk again with Mama, Chase and Sam. Daddy had to work late because of the stock market extreme downturn. Chase was much, much better on the walk tonight. Mama let him walk Sam most of the time, and it was so cute to watch. He did a good job, and Sam was good with him.
