Nanaw had a short day with Chase on Thursday because she was going to the retirees’ lunch at Edward Jones. When Nanaw picked Chase up from his house, they ran lots of errands: they went to the car wash, which delighted Chase – he loved the colored soap. They went to the post office and the library and got gas. Then they went home and played down the basement until it was time to go. TJ got loose in the garage, but Nanaw finally got him back in the house. Then Taylor got under Nanaw’s bed and wouldn’t come out –Nanaw had to put the cats downstairs because the cleaning ladies were coming. Finally, Nanaw used lunch meat to lure Taylor out from under the bed. In the evening, Nanaw came over to Chase’s house for a delicious Salisbury steak dinner. Then Mama, Daddy, Chase and Nanaw went to Chase’s school for Open House. Daddy got to see Chase’s locker, his name stick and the slot for his "portant" papers folder. After the Open House, they went to the Dairy Queen drive through to get yummy ice cream. Chase’s biggest excitement came at the end of the day when Mama let him play with her R2D2 robot – Chase was over the moon to play with R2D2.
