Chase, Mama, Daddy and Nanaw had an exciting adventure on Sunday: They went to a pot luck lunch at Chase's new school and got to see his new schoolroom. Chase will be going to pre-school at Immaculate Conception Church in Columbia. The pot luck was fun and delicious (with excellent fried chicken from Schnuck's), and the people were friendly and welcoming. Chase, Mama, Daddy and Nanaw met Miss Dani, Chase's teacher, plus the principal and his wife. Nanaw learned where to drop Chase off and where to pick him up and where to park -- all important things. There's another Chase in the class -- Chase N -- and everyone got to meet him and his parents. Chase has a list of school supplies he needs to bring -- a folder, glue sticks, Kleenex, wipes, hand sanitizer and an extra set of clothes. He's going to use his Thomas back pack so Mama will send a different back pack when he comes to Nanaw's house. School starts on Wednesday but it's an open house format from 8 to 10 and Chase doesn't have to stay the whole time. On Friday, he's going to the Illinois State Fair with Jackson (and all the parents, of course) so he won't have school then either. He seemed really excited about the boys and girls and the schoolroom -- hopefully, he'll love school. In the evening, Nanaw came back to Chase's for a delicious dinner of grilled cheeseburgers and onion rings -- yum!
