Nanaw went to visit Chase on Saturday morning and got to see his new swimming pool -- the third one for this summer. Nanaw also got to participate in making ice cream. Mama was making vanilla ice cream in the ice cream maker, and it was very exciting. Chase helped too and thought that was great. Mama used the electric function of the ice cream maker rather than the manual crank. She used a bag of ice and some rock salt, and Nanaw thought the whole process was interesting. Chase and Nanaw played a lot downstairs, and Chase did some pretend painting with a bucket and a brush. Tyler helped with everything -- he's a very inquisitive, participatory kitty. Mama was making the ice cream for dessert for Saturday night's visit from Jackson, Aunt Jen and Uncle Joe. When the ice cream was done, Mama gave everyone a sample, and it was really delicious. Mama is hoping there's some left over for when she visits again on Sunday night.
