Chase and Nanaw slept downstairs at the little house, and Sam slept under the bed. They took Sam for another walk on Saturday, and Sam seemed to really like being loose, trailing his leash behind him. Chase had popcorn for his snack again and had lots of fun playing with his cars out on the front deck. Chase, Sam and Nanaw left for home in early evening and went to the drive thru at McDonald’s for dinner because they had Sam in the car. Nanaw got two Happy Meals so she could give two toys to Chase, but he wasn’t very happy with what he got. McDonald’s was cycling through old toys because they had to discontinue the pretend Fitbits (some kids had allergic reactions to the wrist bands). Chase got two psychedelic happy face cups and cried when he saw what he got. Eventually he liked them, though. Nanaw gave Chase a bath at his house, and he kept saying, "More toys, more toys," to make up for not having as many toys to place with at Nanaw’s house. Mama and Daddy got home a little after 10 o’clock, and when Chase heard the garage door open, he ran down the steps and out the front door, calling, "Mama, Mama." Daddy was the first one he saw, and he jumped into Daddy’s arms. Chase was very happy to see Mama and Daddy and very happy to get the presents they brought him – especially the Lego Star Wars space ship with R2D2, CP30 and two Jawas. Nanaw got an I love New York pen, a pen with the name Carol on it, and a Statue of Liberty magnet for the fridge.
