Chase had a busy day of adventures on Friday. First, Chase and Nanaw went to the Train House. Amazingly enough, Chase spent the whole time playing at the various train tables, rather than visiting all the toy areas – something he’s never done before. Nanaw had thought he was beginning to lose interest in the train tables because he didn’t spend a whole lot of time there, but he proved her wrong. After the Creation Station, Chase and Nanaw rode on the train, always a fun thing to do. Then Chase got to do the new activity: riding on the handcart. There’s a small track and a tunnel and two handcarts go around the track at a time. There’s a wheel that the children turn to make the handcart go – except for the little ones who can’t make it go. Then the attendant helps the handcart around the track. With Chase, it was a half and half day – sometimes he could do it by himself and sometimes the attendant helped. On their way, Chase and Nanaw bought some delicious popcorn, one of their favorites. Next, they went to Powder Valley. They walked on the trail first and then went inside. There weren’t many people there, and Chase said, "Come on, children. You have to be here." It was very cute. When Nanaw brought Chase home, she stayed for a delicious dinner of onion burgers, baked beans and Suddenly Salad. After dinner, everyone (except for Tyler) went outside for a fire in the firepit and toasting marshmallows – lots of fun.
