First thing in the morning, Chase and Daddy took Tyler to the vet for his declawing surgery. Then they went shopping for Mama's Mother's Day present but the store they went to wasn't open yet -- so Daddy brought Chase over to Nanaw's house. Cousin Joe was planning to come to Nanaw's house for help with his resume and application for the UMSL groundskeeper position. May 5th is is 20th birthday so Chase and Nanaw went to Schnucks to buy cupcakes and Doritos for Joe. Chase got to ride in the cart that's like one of the yellow and red cars. He was very excited to ride in it. Cousin Joe was there for about three hours, and Chase pretty much talked the whole time, as usual. Nanaw put candles on the cupcakes, and Chase helped Joe blow them out. Chase played with his trains downstairs for a while before his nap. In the evening, Chase, Mama and Daddy went to Red Lobster for Daddy's birthday dinner -- May 5th is Daddy's birthday also. Mama and Chase baked a cake for Daddy on Monday night -- a yellow cake with chocolate frosting, Daddy's favorite.
