Chase didn't go to school on Monday because Mama wanted Nanaw to take him to the pediatrician. Mama and Daddy were worried about him not being able to hear them and saying "What?" all the time. Chase's regular doctor, Dr. Charles, was the doctor on early, walk-in duty, and Chase and Nanaw were happy to see him. Chase has fluid on his ears that is causing him to have trouble hearing. Dr. Charles says it will eventually clear up by itself. Chase was very well-behaved at the doctor, and liked getting a cookie and a Thomas sticker. Before he saw the doctor, he played with a plastic gun in the waiting room and wanted to go back to play with it after the appointment but Nanaw said no. When they at the stoplight by the doctor's office, Chase pointed to the right and said, "I want to go to Suson Park." Nanaw was amazed that Chase knew where the road to Suson Park was. He really pays attention when they're driving around and it's impressive that he knows where things are. On their way home, Chase and Nanaw went to the library, much to Chase's delight. He loves to play at the library. He found a new game there, a Life Star Wars game. He and Nanaw didn't know how to play it but they played with it anyway. Chase found more Star Wars books to check out -- they had returned the eight books he checked out two weeks ago.
