Mama sent Nanaw two photos from Tuesday night's hockey game -- she and Chase sat in the Wells Fargo Advisers box, and Chase loved it and had a great time. He'll never want to go back to sitting in regular seats. Wednesday was a major big day for Chase -- it was his first school Halloween party, and he got his first school report card (they call it a progress report). Before school at Nanaw's house, Chase put on his Captain America mask all by himself -- quite a surprise. Mama and Nanaw didn't think he'd want to wear the mask. At school, Chase saw Alena in her Elsa outfit and Brady in his firefighter outfit. One of the little boys, Will, wore a recycling truck costume his grandpa made -- cutest costume ever. When Chase came out of school, he ran to Nanaw and kissed and hugged her again, just like Monday. Nanaw doesn't know what's going on. He used to come out and hang on to one of the pillars, and Nanaw had to coax him over to her. Nanaw really likes the new way. At the Halloween party, the kids made witch's hats. They got a little trick or treat box with glow in the dark sticks, a tiny Slinky, M&Ms, a fruit cup and silly putty. Chase did well on his first report card. It rated the children on what things they can do and what things they can't do. Chase had more check marks on the things he can do than on the things he can't do. Daddy, Mama and Nanaw are very proud of him. On the way home from school, Chase and Nanaw went to the library to make copies of Chase's report card for Nanaw and to pick up two cool best-sellers for Mama. Chase played with the Star Wars game while Nanaw skimmed through some new writing books.
