First thing on Friday morning, Chase and Nanaw went downstairs for Nanaw to walk on the treadmill and for Chase to play with his trains and cars. Later in the morning, they had their main adventure of the day: a visit to the Magic House. When they got there, Nanaw tried to interest Chase in going into the Sandcastle Beach, a huge outdoor area covered with sand and sand toys and a towering sand castle, plus a water puddle where the barefoot children could rinse off their feet when they're done playing in the sand. But once again, Chase decided he didn't want to go play in the sand. Inside the Magic House, the first place Chase wanted to go was the new hockey area. Chase was very excited about the new things -- two barrels of ice things for the kids to play with plus Blues hockey jerseys and goalie gloves and knee pads. Chase tried on the jersey and the goalie gloves and posed for pictures in front of a big hockey net. Chase stayed in the hockey area for more than half an hour. Next, they went to the Clifford the Big Red Dog room, and Chase had lots of fun playing with the slide and the stuffed bones. He and a little girl giggled and played together -- it was really cute. When Chase and Nanaw got home, Chase once again played with his Angry Birds Legos. When Mama got off work, she and Chase took Nanaw to Ford in Waterloo to pick up her Escape. After that, Mama, Daddy, Chase and nanaw went to Culver's for dinner. Chase had chicken strips, fries and vanilla ice cream with blue sprinkles -- he shared his ice cream with Nanaw -- he's such a sweet boy -- sometimes.
