Nanaw was very excited that Chase was going to have a sleepover at the little house on Saturday night. Mama and Daddy were going out with Uncle Mike and Aunt Becky for Kathleen's birthday so Chase got to go with Nanaw. First thing in the morning, Chase had a T-ball game. His friend from pre-school, Chase N., was on the other team so it was nice for Chase to see her again. After the game, Nanaw went home to pack and then went to pick Chase up. He slept part of the drive out to the little house. At the little house, they had lunch, then went for a walk with their walking sticks. When Nanaw first handed his walking stick to him, Chase held it like it was a bat and was swinging it. Chase played with the box of cars Nanaw brought along, plus the toy construction vehicles that live at the little house. Chase decided he wanted to sleep upstairs, a first, so that's what they did. There was a horrible storm during the night but Chase slept right through it. In the morning, Chase was very quiet and mostly lay around on the sofa bed. He did get up when Nanaw was making ice. She let him get ice out of the freezer container for his glass of water. Then she let him put water in an ice tray. He was fascinated with the idea of making ice. He's only experienced ice makers in refrigerators so he didn't know there was a way to make ice -- it was funny. Nanaw took a picture and sent it to Mama, and she texted back a promise to buy Popsicle makers for Chase. Chase felt really warm and was really quiet so Nanaw thought he was sick. He slept a little on the way home. Nanaw came back for steak dinner, and Mama said he'd been quiet all afternoon, and they ga e him Tylenol. Nanaw hopes he feels better tomorrow.
