Chase and Nanaw had a big adventure on Tuesday. They took Nanaw's next door neighbors and their grandsons to the Train House. The two boys, Danny and Benjy, are here from Florida visiting their grandparents for a couple of weeks. Nanaw's Train House membership allows her to take guests for free so that's what they did. Chase had a great time with the boys, especially Danny who's three years old. Benjy is only 18 months old. and Chase didn't pay much attention to him. But Chase and Danny ran around together and had fun. Chase kept saying, "Danny, follow me, follow me." It was very cute. First they looked at all the displays in the main lobby -- everybody especially liked the stuffed zebras pulling the wagon. Next, they went for a train ride, which made Nanaw very happy because Chase hasn't been willing to go on a train ride for almost a year. But he seemed to enjoy himself and counted the bones, which is a good sign. Next, Danny and Chase rode on the handcars; Benjy is too little for that. Then they walked up the hill to see the cars and trains. They went in the car building and liked seeing all the historical cars. Next, they went to look at the trains -- those were a great hit with everyone. They only had time to look at a few of the trains rather than all of them. It was time to go to the Creation Station. That was the great hit of the day for Danny and Benjy. All three boys had a super time playing with the trains. Chase also spent a long time playing in the kitchen and then playing with the magnet blocks. Miss Linda was so happy to see Chase and Nanaw -- it's been more than three weeks since they were last there -- May 11.
