First thing Monday morning, Chase and Nanaw had story time. Next, they had writing time, where Chase wrote his name -- Nanaw is going to have him practice writing his name every day he's at her house for the summer so he doesn't forget how. Then, they did some painting -- and Chase managed to get paint everywhere but it was washable so it was okay with Nanaw. Chase's adventure for Monday was a trip to the Science Center. Of course, Chase's first stop there was his new favorite place: the outdoor water area. He spent quite awhile playing with the buckets of water and the water pumps. Then he visited the farm building and especially liked seeing the bees in the hive making honey. He told Nanaw that the big bee was the king. Nanaw and the Science Center volunteer told Chase it was really a queen, not a king -- very funny. They also visited the sand area, and the dinosaurs. On the way out of the Science Center, they saw Cathy, a friend of Nanaw's from Edward Jones with her little six-year-old granddaughter named Lizzie. Cathy told Chase she knew who he is because of so many pictures of him on Facebook.
