Nanaw came to visit Chase early on Saturday morning before she went to the little house. Chase and Nanw played school on his pretend houseboat bed. When Nanaw got to Chase’s house, he was sitting on the love seat playing with his tablet so he didn’t really want to play school. And he did his silly, goofy act when they were playing school. But Nanaw persevered and they did quite a few pages in the workbooks, plus addition flashcards. They also read another one of the Splat the Cat books from the county library: Splat the Cat: Twice the Mice. Mama invited Nanaw to come for a steak dinner on Sunday evening, and Nanaw enthusiastically accepted. In the afternoon, Mama, Daddy and Chase went to Uncle Mike’s house for Kathleen’s graduation from the National Guard party. They all went swimming, and Mama says they had a great time. Mama also ate a hamburger with barbecue sauce and liked it, which is amazing for her.
