Chase and Nanaw had breakfast first thing in the morning, on the front porch, which Chase calls the deck. Then they had school, sitting at the kitchen counter. That seems to currently be the best place for having school. The books Mama packed in the Thomas bag were Thumper’s Furry Friends and Dumbo. Mama also packed a bunny rabbit and Raja the elephant as special guests to go along with the books. The other day when Chase and Nanaw went to Schnuck’s for ice cream bars, Chase saw a bat and baseball he wanted. Because he had been such a good boy, Nanaw said she would buy them for him. So they went to Schnuck’s and bought the bat and ball. When they got home, Chase and Nanaw played baseball in the front yard with the new bat and ball. When mama got off work, she came to pick up Chase and Nanaw and they all went to the Telegraph Road Library to get library books for Mama. When they left, they got a treat out of the "bending machine" for Chase. Thursday was Chase’s last baseball game for the season, and Chase did very well, getting good hits and two outs at first base. All of the boys and girls got a gift bag with a trophy and candy inside. For dinner, mama, Daddy, Chase and Nanaw went to Joe’s Pizza, the business that sponsored Chase’s baseball team.
