When Chase got to Nanaw's house Monday morning, he had his big jar of animals he got at the zoo on Sunday. He dumped them out on the coffee table and said, "Oh no, the lobster is missing!" He was doing inventory just like his Mama does. Very funny for Mama and Nanaw. Nanaw promised to go by Chase's house to find the lobster. When she did, she took a picture of Tyler with the lobster and a picture of Sam out on the deck. Chase was excited as usual to go to school. When he got there, Alaina was there, and she gave him a great big smile. Nanaw told Ms. Merz that Chase saw Alaina on his walk Sunday night -- Alaina was walking with her mama and grandparents. Chase went over to play with the rubber bands, and Alaina came to play with him, with another big smile. When Nanaw picked Chase up from school, Alaina was there and Chase got his third big smile of the day. The adventure for the day was a trip to the Thornhill Library off the Page extension. Nanaw was doing a reconnaissance trip for a meeting she's going to attend Wednesday evening. The library has a huge children's area, much larger than any of the other libraries Nanaw has been to. chase and Nanaw played with the computer and with a set of wood-looking foam blocks. Chase picked out four books to check out -- he now has eight library books checked out -- good for him!
