Chase had three adventures on Thursday. First, he went to Story Time with Miss Candy at the Columbia Library. One of the little girls from his class at school was there. Her name is Poppy, and she's very cute and very girly. Nanaw is glad Chase is a boy. Chase behaved amazingly well at Story Time, sitting in his chair and listening to the stories. He made an owl for the craft and was very proud of himself. After Story Time, Chase and Nanaw went to the little playground in the park next to the library, much to Chase's delight. He loves playgrounds. Next, Chase and Nanaw went to a new playground in Des Peres Park on Ballas, right across the street from Edward Jones. In all the years Nanaw worked there, she never went to the park and now wishes she had. It has a lake and two fountains and ducks, plus two playgrounds. One is for little children and the other is for older children. Chase played on both playgrounds, but much preferred the one for older children. Chase and Nanaw went down to the lake to visit the ducks, and Chase laughed when they jumped in the water and swam away.
