Nanaw went to visit Chase early Saturday morning before she left for Aspenhof. Chase and Nanaw played downstairs for a long while but were careful to put away all the toys because Mama had cleaned up for the Labor Day party on Sunday. Chase played with a beach ball, with a ball cap and Eeyore and Mama’s stuffed pumpkin. Upstairs they played in Chase’s room with the animals he got at the zoo last Sunday. Then he colored with his markers and had toast and jelly for breakfast. In the afternoon, Chase and Mama went to Millstadt to Aunt Theresa’s house to watch the Labor Day parade. To Chase’s great delight, Aunt Theresa had a bounce house in her back yard. Mama said that was Chase’s favorite thing in the whole world. However, he wouldn’t let her take pictures of him in it so Nanaw doesn’t get to see what it looked like. Chase got lots of candy from the parade people throwing it out to the children. On the way, Mama took Chase to McDonald’s, which also made him very happy. He said to Mama in his own special phrasing, "Thank you to [he always says ‘to" instead of "for"] taking me to Aunt Theresa’s for the parade and the bounce house. The first three pictures are ones from Friday night at Jackson’s house that Mama sent to Nanaw.
